Designing with impact is in our DNA.
Every solution is designed to deliver environmentally-sound and socially powerful results.
Impact is built-in to every design and reported on, so you know how your project has helped reduce carbon and increased social outcomes. Ultimately, supporting positive change up and down supply chains and meeting client ESG goals along the way.

Nudging the brief towards impact.
We take your brief and work with you to come up with solutions that not only reduce waste and carbon, but maximise social outcomes too. Then we calculate the impact of your project and provide you with a robust, evidenced report, so we look at how we can work together to do even better on the next project.
Building decarbonisation into the design of clients’ projects.
Reducing waste and calculating circularity with the five 'R's:
-
first and foremost we minimise the use of materials e.g. we the reduce use of printed materials, replacing them with digital screens
-
where possible, we design biological materials that are renewable into projects, such as living walls, leading to the growth of living things
-
keeping products in circulation and extending their life-cycle is a powerful way to reduce carbon
-
like repurposing, for example, we could turn a bar from an event into a bespoke table for an exhibition, preventing products going to landfill
-
we only recycle when the other 'R's are not viable. When calculating circularity, we don’t include recycled weight as products are often down-cycled
Evidenced and demonstrable social impact reported.
For every project over £5K, your ESG report includes a full breakdown of social impact.
-
Hours' work generated through the design, transportation, build, run and strike of your projects for our crew who have been affected by homelessness
-
Number of places funded by your project for our Academy, a 3 day training programme for people who’ve been affected by homelessness to learn crew skills and prepare for employment, either with Connection Crew or elsewhere
-
We choose social enterprise suppliers for projects wherever possible and include their information in your impact report.
Encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion in our workforce and beyond.
We aim for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society, and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.
Our DE&I initiatives span from referral partners to recruitment - ensuring we reach a diverse pool of candidates to hire from, and training and education for all staff to have equal opportunities to thrive, as well as monitoring and collecting data to understand the make-up of our workforce.
We are driving impact through our own supply chain by building KPIs into our procurement procedures. These will help us monitor our buying impact and encourage use of social enterprises and diverse suppliers.
